Canceling subscription (via credit) doesn't refund you anyways; it just prevents it from renewing at the end of the term (and you can play until they paid time expires). I've stopped playing, so wasted some money on buying three months before I realized it sucks, but oh well. It's 40 dollars, and I save way, way more than that on Isohunt.

QFT. WoW with an outrageous system req. It's based on a stronger storyline, but it's got the same "kill 8 boars and 12 frogs" -type quests and PvP newbie ganking that WoW is plagued with. No real skill is used for PvP, and Melee Classes are overpowered. Armor choices are bad, as well.

I never respected what Anet did until playing this game. You have to get to level 50 before getting decent armor, and there's only one choice per every tenlevels you go. Compare that to GW, where you get two as a noob in Ascalon City. The craft system is kinda sad, as well, as you need to get to lvl 40 before you can use it. The imbalance between classes means a Ranger can kill a sin 5 levels higher with little difficulty, and forget it if you are a caster other than ToS.

Face it. If GW is his good, and most of the good devs are gone working on GW2, this is a fscking good game!

Besides, they have mesmers here. With great fashion sense.

WoW is an MMO clone. It's just a big one. Stop thinking that WoW was the first, or original. It isn't.

As much as you AoC fanboys dispute this, this post is 100% true.

The reason many MMORPG's are considered "WoW-clones" is because WoW has far and away the largest subscriber base ever in an MMORPG and everyone wants a piece of the pie, and many MMOs (such as AoC) use the same general formula that WoW does.

Don't say Aoc has a stronger storyline than WoW, everygame so far that is MMORPG has had a TERRIBLE storyline except in everquest.

Lotro has a good storyline - particularly the epic books/pages. I guess it might not be that apparent because everyone who plays the game probably has read the book/seen the movies, but the story isn't cheesy or anything.
